Abstract
This paper uses cultural analysis to examine the music video 'Love It If We Made It' by the pop band 'The 1975' through the lens of hegemony, ideology, and interpellation. The video critiques modern power structures by combining real-world footage of systemic issues with provocative lyrics and bright visual aesthetics. The paper explores how the video challenges dominant ideologies and confronts viewers with political realities often ignored by mainstream media, highlighting the contradictions of modernity and media desensitization. |
